Taking five

Top- River Island (last year) || Shorts- River Island || Strappy heels- River Island || Tribal leather clutch-Topshop || Watch- Olivia Burton @ ASOS

Its been a week or so since I have posted and I can only apologise, however I feel less guilty this time around. I have just got back from a week away in Tenerife and feel totally refreshed but kind of craving another week away in the sun.

These photos were taken on our second night and I managed to find a little quiet spot at the back of the resort with the most beautiful black and white tiled floor.

I am wearing almost all River Island here and I managed to find a few bargains in the sale a few days before I left. These shorts are great, just the right length and turned a pretty top into something quite chic. As for the heels they are classics and I know I am going to get so much wear out of them.

Where are you guys heading off to on holiday? Do you have your holiday wardrobes planned? What are your must haves?

Blues Kitchen || Shoreditch

Get excited, its the second food post guys! Apologies for the photos. I was unorganised and had to use my iPhone to take them. Tom decided to pose big time for his feature on the blog.

After a stressful and full on day at uni a few weeks ago, I met Tom for a last minute and sporadic date night. To date, one of the best evenings I have had with him.

I had never visited The Blues Kitchen in Camden before, and had been watching the renovations going ahead on Curtain Road for the new Blues Kitchen Shoreditch each time I walked to university. So one thursday night,  we decided to check it out.

We shared hot wings to start, then I chose Lobster, Tom had Ribs, and boy was it good. Service was great and the interior of the place and atmosphere was awesome. We have both said we want to go back for a night out soon when we both have a night off of work.

Have you been to The Blues Kitchen yet? What do you reckon?

Hi guys, its a quick one from me. These photos were taken the same day of my uni hand in, and after an all day and all nighter to get it all finished in time (almost). This explains the shortage of photos- I don't do well without sleep.

Anyway. I am in love with this white midi skirt. My sister managed to get the last one from her Topshop store in my size and I am so glad. I have had so many compliments already and it is truly a classic, such good quality and it goes with anything.

As for the Olivia Burton watch, my boyfriend bought it for my birthday, by total coincidence I had put it into my ASOS 'saved items' a few weeks before. I am totally in love with it, its rose gold AND cream so what is there not to love right?

Happy friday everyone

Back to Basics

White shirt-Gap || Black ripped Jamie jeans-Topshop || Sea Salt Hyperfuse Roshe trainers-Nike

Its another outfit post from me today, and simple one at that. I have just over twelve hours until deadline, and one hundred and one little bits to do to finish everything but still find myself browsing the web for clothes, saving items in my ASOS basket and scouting Instagram for more feeds to follow.

These photos were actually taken on Thursday while I was out and about in Shoreditch with my sister and her boyfriend Jasper shooting my dress for my final project this year. We found this old unused area just opposite Shoreditch station and squeezed through the metal gates to get in and take the photos of Bex wearing my dress. Luckily it was quite private and no one realised that we were somewhere we shouldn't be. Needless to say I am very happy with the photos Jasper managed to capture.

I find myself edging more and more to basic items, things that can go with everything and be dressed up or down. The Nike Roshe trainers I am wearing were bought with some birthday dosh and vouchers and I totally love them. They are actually the 'Sea Salt' version not the all white ones I initially planned to get, and I am so happy with my choice. What are you favourite pair of trainers?

Thats it for now! Happy Sunday, hope you have had a smashing weekend.

Lace & Lace

Lace top and skirt two piece-Zara || Nude clutch-Warehouse (Last season- similar here) || Rose gold metallic heels-Topshop (Old- similar here) || Watch-Olivia Burton @ ASOS || Rose gold hexagon hoop earrings-Accessorize (similar here)

Firstly, I apologise for the hundreds of photos. I'm surprised you made it this far down past all of them to read this post, but I am just so in love with this two piece I couldn't pick less than ten photos.

I bought this lace top and skirt combo a few months ago from Zara and wore it to a wedding last weekend. My lovely friend Mariana from The Portuguese Pink Pie and I took this as the perfect opportunity to take some fabulous outfit photos and here is the result. Big thanks to her. They are some of my favourites to date. Despite getting bitten to shreds by mosquitos down this farmyard path it was well worth it.

I have to admit that this is the first two piece I have invested in and I am loving it. Slightly late with jumping on the bandwagon but there is still time this summer to make up for it.  What are your thoughts on this two piece craze?

I hope you spent the sunny weekend doing something fun, and lets hope the sun sticks around.

Thats all for now, wish me luck for my deadline on Monday!

Slate || Shoreditch

Photos taken on iPhone 4S || Website

Deadlines are approaching to just a quick one from me today!

Anyone who knows me well knows that I love spending money on really good food as much as I like spending money on really nice clothes. I can't believe its taken me quite this long to think about and go ahead with blogging about somewhere I have been to eat. Perhaps it's because when really good food is in front of me I'd rather eat it than take photos of it.

Last week in the midst of toiling my final piece for the last term of university I decided to take  a quick break and grab a bite to eat somewhere near by. I normally go to the cafe down the road but decide to try somewhere different...A little tiny coffee shop called Slate.

Could not have made a better decision that day.

The Soya Latte was great and the Build your own salad idea they have going on at this place was genious. I went for smoked salmon, sun-dried tomatoes, avocado and roasted veg which was cooked up in chilli and pepper. It was served with orange wedges and a little old jam jar full of olive oil and balsamic vinegar to add as you please... all on a Slate, hence the name of the place.

If you are dropping by Shoreditch any time soon be sure to re fuel here, on Curtain Road, easy to find. Did I mention they also do very good looking cakes and pastries...
