Can't beat Clinique

While growing up and all the way through my teens I never really suffered from any form of acne apart from the odd blemish or spot here and there. I have always been so lucky in that respect.
I started suffering from dry but oily skin later on and have always relied on skin products by 'Simple', which have done well, but I felt like I needed to try something else.

My sister bought some Clinque products a few months ago and I remember using Clinique foundation a few years ago and really liked the coverage and the fact that it didn't clog my skin up and made it look  quite radiant.

So.....off I trot....to Clinique (the counter in Boots- I love my Boots points!), and with the help of the lovely lady behind the counter talking through with me about my skin, she decided I was skin type 2.

The great thing about Clinque is that they have ready made starter kits for different skin types, so £20 later I am leaving, with a little Clinique box in hand and pretty excited to start using it and seeing the results.  (I also got some free tester pots of the 'Turnaround Concentrate Radiance Renewer')

Step 1: Clinique Mild Liquid Facial Soap
Your face only needs to be damp for this to work, and just like any other face wash lightly cover your face and wash off.

Step 2: Clinique Clarifying Lotion Clarifiante
With cotton pads, lightly cover your face, stay away from the eyes. you will feel a light tingling. This helps to tighten your pores.

Step 3: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion
With just a pea sized amount, like any other moisturiser, lightly cover your face. You will be able to notice the difference already. My skin was looking more alive and fresh with just one use!

Finally, the optional addition. I got some free sample pots of the Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Radiance Renewer and, if like me you use the Skin type two products, you use this serum after the moisturiser. It gently exfoliates your skin without spreading spots of blemishes, and gently removes dead skin unlike some of the exfoliators out there which have visible beads; these can sometimes be too abrasive.
Make sure you check with Clinique depending on your moisturiser as sometimes you apply before depending on the thickness etc.

and the Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Radiance Renewer here

I will keep you posted

Print Clash

Floral jacket from New look
Jacquard skater dress from River Island
Orange box clutch bag from Zara
Leopard print shoes from Topshop
Large circular ring from Magnolia
Opal Ring and triple band ring from Bluemoon Gallery
Green stone ring(right hand in picture) from Pandora
Rose Gold Watch from Michael Kors

So here is my first outfit post, finally.
I am in a little bit of a dress up mode at the moment, that or the complete opposite; gym gear or leggings and a t shirt. So this explains why this outfit has a very formal edge. I rarely plan what I am going to wear the night before unless it is for something really really important which is hardly ever.
Most of the time its a rushed grab and hope for the best sort of attitude and I guess some people may argue that it doesn't work. I would say that I am also not a great matcher; matching shoes and clutch/bag isn't something that I do often....
I have to admit that a few of the pieces seen in this look, the clutch bag and the shoes are all birthday presents from a couple of weeks ago and I have been dying to post about them, I have just been non-stop. I am in love with this orange box clutch!!
Excuse the pasty white complexion...I will be going on holiday soon I promise. That or I definitely need to fake tan.

More to come soon,
