The Ketal Masculine Flat

Longline Jacket- Topshop || Black swing sleeveless dress- American Apparel || Vanity Bag- Zara (similar here) || Black masculine shoes- Topshop

Firstly I would like to apologise for my insanely pale and bruised legs; I am most definitely embracing the pale at the moment and the dark and dreary weather certainly isn't helping me out in anyway!

This is a very simple and minimal outfit, just what I am liking at the moment. If in doubt I always stick to monochrome; you can't go wrong and it always looks so clean and put together. The weather has taken a turn the past week or so and this longline jacket from Topshop is the perfect thing, the best extra layer  for this time of year but light enough to store in my handbag when I'm grabbing the tube and suffering from one of my daily hot flushes while travelling around London.

Lastly, don't think I have forgotten to mention those delightful shoes you can see me wearing. Topshop have outdone themselves with their selection of masculine flats this autumn winter and I am so in love with them. The metal strap across gives them an extra edge, perfect for office to evening wear and are so comfy which seems too good to be true- I suggest you go invest in a pair before they all go!

Thats it from me for now, stay tunes for my next fashion week favourite coming soon.

Black suede

Coat- H&M || T shirt- Topshop (similar here) || Shorts- Topshop (similar here) || Boots- River Island || Bag- Zara (similar here and here).

I am So excited to show you all these new over the knee boots I very naughtily purchased on Tuesday while out for Vogue Fashion's night out. Since looking through magazines and trying to prep myself for the up and coming Autumn/Winter season over the knee boots quickly became part of my must have list.

I was very picky about what they had to be like; they needed a heel but nothing too high, they needed to be black suede and lastly they couldn't be too baggy around the thigh. Not much to ask  right? So....here are my perfect pair which I  found in River Island. After trying them on three or four times I can safely say they are made for me, so comfy and dare I say it a little bit sexy (yes I did just say that)!!

Anyway I'm off to prance around in my new sexy boots before work begins.  Let me know what your must have for this season are. Happy Friday all!

LFW Favourite || Whistles SS15

|| Photos via Vogue. ||

Im late on the LFW 'bandwagon' and the whole of fashion month. I like to spend time browsing all the collections from New York, London, Milan and Paris on my own time. I'm going to be sharing my favourites with you over the next few months (as they become relevant to me) or so but here goes numero uno.

Whistles, technically a high street brand absolutely nailed it for SS15 and this is why for me they came up top. A fresh minimal colour palette of whites, black, ice blues camels and the occasional rose pink along with totally wearable pieces with gorgeous silhouettes and floaty tailoring just oozed easy stylish summer dressing. And that fact that the show was in an entrance tunnel to Kings Cross makes it even cooler for me. Hands up to you Whistles...you've done it again.

Transitional dressing

Zebra Jumper- French Connection || Double pearl earrings- Topshop (similar here) || Cullottes- Topshop || Block heels- Office (similar here) || Fur scarf- Zara (similar here) || Vanity bag-Zara (similar here).

I finally have internet at my new pad and this means life is back to normal. It really shocked me how much I am dependant on using the net on an hourly/ daily basis whether its to look something up, check instagram, blog, research or catch up on the few programmes that I always seem to miss. It has also meant that yet again I have been appalling at blogging (apologising seems to be part of every blog post!)

This jumper from French Connection had caught my eye while I walk past it every day on the way to work and I just couldn't help myself; I justified it by telling myself that its the perfect transitional jumper with 3\4 length sleeves (perfect for layering) and a funnel neck which would look great with a high neck jersey top underneath. They had also merchandised it with pretty much everything in store which made it seem even more of a necessary buy. As for the culottes I have spent the whole of the summer trying them on every time I visit Topshop and I finally gave in. I know its going to be turning colder in the next month or so but I will find a way of incorporating them into  my wardrobe for as long as possible!

I am so glad the 60's and 70's trends are coming back in as it has made me get my rusty red block heels out and want to wear them at every possible opportunity. I love the colour and they are so comfy; I just need more occasions to wear them.

What are your favourite transitional pieces for Autumn?
