Internationalist

Ever since seeing these in JD sports and Nike town in Oxford Circus a few weeks ago I cannot stop thinking about them. Slim, sleek and pink, what is not to like about them? I have a few pairs of trainers on my shoe rack including a metallic pair of Adidas high tops, a Liberty print pair of classic Nikes as well as a purple pair of runners however there is always room for more. I cannot tell you how happy I am that trainers seem to be staying in the blogosphere and are still a popular necessity in today's 'It wardrobe'. I guess everyone is sick to death of prancing around in heeled boots during winter or pumps for that matter, and I hope this continues at least through to the summer and right through to autumn and winter this year. Everyone has got to have at least five pairs of trainers to their name right?

STYLE IT | How to #5 | Sport Luxe

Orange sweater-Acne// Skirt-Simone Rocha// Sunglasses-River Island//
Lipstick-Bobbi Brown// Headphones-Frends// Trainers-Nike

Created on Polyvore

I am addicted to orange. Always have been and always will. Whether it be the colour of the season or not I will always be attracted to anything orange I see while trudging through the shops.
This Acne orange sweater is divine. The metallic detailing with the baby pink and the cocoon silhouette  needs to become part of my wardrobe for SS14 immediately.
On another note, during a sustainability lecture earlier in the week I was pleasantly surprised to find out more about Nikes products and how they secretly gage their products on a bronze to gold system. Nike's free run trainers come up trumps as one of their Gold products, ensuring that throughout design and manufacture, the product is one of their most sustainable and it has made me love them even more.
Just to warn you there will be far more ramblings on here at a later date about fashion sustainability. This will include how aspects of the industry can effect the environment, our own species as well as the one I feel most passionate about; animal welfare.

Anyway until then, thank god its friday. Enjoy your weekends!

Jann by Ted

Top shop necklace, similar here

I was very spoilt over the Christmas period one way or another. Not only did I treat myself to an iPad but my family, boyfriend and friends were very generous.
2013 was a challenging year money wise, for me and my boyfriend. Paying back debt I had accumulated from travelling over a 2-3 year period meant that with two jobs I finally became debt free and able to apply to university with a clear head and ready for a fresh start. The boyfriend broke his ankle in October of 2012 playing rugby, so it put his plans to train as a personal trainer on pause for a fairly long time, and after completing the course it has been competitive as well as challenging to be self employed. I may be biased but I truly believe his knowledge and passion will eventually lead to great things.
Anyway, where was I going with his? Ah that's it. Christmas presents and being spoilt. Me and Tom (bf) always joke about how he has to start saving for my clothes fund and that Ted Baker must be included (I fell in love after buying my Rose Gold heels). So this Christmas I got my first 'Ted Baker fund' item, hand picked and chosen by himself.  I wore them on Christmas Eve and they got my sisters and best friends approval, boy did good!

As for the Topshop necklace, my sister bought it for me as a Christmas gift, and failed to keep it a secret as she bought one for herself also, and wore it a month before Christmas. It has heme perfect for drinks over the holidays, new year and my double dimmer date on Saturday.

I hope you were all as spoilt as I was. I have not yet visited the shops to spend vouchers or check out the sales but I a imagine it won't be long until I do.

Laid back leather at Bodeans

I have to firstly apologise for the quality of these images. They were taken on the iPhone at about 1.30am on Sunday after a night out with some friends. We went out in Clapham, had a couple of drinks, and eventually ended up eating at Bodeans. I have to say it was my first time there, and our table was filled with meet within about 15 minutes. The boys went for the ultimate platter and me and Mariana (my little Portuguese blogger friend) went for the slightly smaller one and ALMOST finished it all. Well done us.

I hope you have been enjoying 2014 so far. My first day back to uni was interrupted by several tube lines being disrupted plus a headache from hell from my staff party last night!
