Forgotten

Camo dress- Topshop (similar here and here) || Chunky black Sandals- River Island (silver version here)|| Black vanity bag- Zara (similar here) || Watch- Olivia Burton@ASOS || Sunglasses- River Island

The title of this post is pretty self explanatory, I completely forgot to post this outfit from one of my first days on holiday in Tenerife. Although the weather seems to have taken a drastic turn in the past week, and shops on the high street are quickly stocking up with warm winter coats I thought I'd get this one in quick before it really is forgotten. I have to admit, most of the outfit is no longer available, so I have found a few alternatives which can definitely be incorporated into an autumn winter wardrobe.

Looking at these photos makes me feel like that holiday was years ago already, and I already feel like I need and want another dose of sun and relaxation. And although this summer has been filled with great experiences from which I have learnt a lot (interning being the main one) I am feeling so ready to get back to university and start new projects and begin to be proactive in that sense again.

What have you enjoyed most this summer? Anyone looking forward to shopping for their autumn winter wardrobes like me?

First pair of Wangs

Firstly I'd like to point out that I am trying out new ways to photograph and blog, so bear with me throughout the testing. I am not too good with my camera despite having it for a few years and my sister gets so frustrated that I never use it to its full potential. I have made a promise to myself that from now on, this blog will showcase my ever improving camera and photography skills to show you my new buys and outfits.

Secondly the title of this post just sums it up so well. For those of you who follow me on instagram (if you don't get your butts over there and press the follow button! http://instagram.com/saraladylippy or @saraladylippy ) I posted these new shoes up on there pretty quickly and had a lot of fun with the hashtagging; I think it was probably all of the excitement!

Thursday was an exciting day for me. Firstly I received new hoover bags in the post which I had been waiting for for days. I am a little OCD and after not being able to hoover my room for a few weeks I was very much looking forward to the prospect of being able to use the hoover again; when you have a carpet that everything sticks to you will understand.

As I was sat on the sofa catching up with Clare, my best friend and flat mate who had just got back from two weeks in the USA, the door bell rang again, and to my surprise the shoes I ordered from Connected to Fashion Blog had arrived. Little did I know when buying them they were Alexander Wang and barely worn. You can imagine my surprise and delight when trying them on knowing for £25 (such a bargain) I had just bought my first pair of designer shoes (albeit second hand, but in such good condition). Now I just need an occasion to wear them.

I'd love to know about your special finds or designer bargains, let me know and drop your blog URL in the comments section below. I'm always on the look out for new blogs to follow!

I hope you have all had a wonderful bank holiday despite the wet and dreary weather.

Zara coat picks for Autumn

Zara Coat Picks

This awful weather I'm experiencing on August bank holiday Monday has made me think that that's summer over now. The only thing that makes me happy about this is the thought of buying more winter coats. Camel and shearling is on my list this winter, and maybe a lilac one to sit buy my candy pink coat id got from ASOS last year. I decided to show you my top picks from Zara, who never cease to please me in so many ways. Tailored, relaxed, coloured, camel, short and long there is something for every occassion and every one. The camel one on the top right has already become a blogger fave on instagram so I am waiting to see it appear many times over LFW in a few weeks. I may be guilty of purchasing it ready to wear there so lets keep fingers crossed that no one else decides to that day!

Have you found your favourite autumn coat yet, or am I just getting too ahead of myself?

Topshop shoe picks for autumn

Topshop shoe picks for autumn

So life decided to hit me with the worst headache I have ever experienced for nine days, along with sickness, three trips to hospital, six needles, one scan and countless hours waiting for results in a hospital bed. Luckily for me all seems to be ok and anything serious has been crossed off. It has meant however that I have spent the past week back at my dad's and the majority of the past nine or ten days has been spent in bed, or if I felt up to it asleep on the sofa. This is the only good excuse I have had to use for my poor attempt at blogging. The past few days I have had ample time to interest browse and here are my top shoe picks for topshop this autum. Those metal cuffed flats will be mine by the end of the month I can guarantee; I will be fighting Tom for the most masculine shoe title while wearing them I know, but I have fallen in love. While I tuck up into bed for another night of 'sleep healing' pray for me that tomorrow I will wake up feeling even better!

What are you shoe picks for this coming autumn?

Oriental Rose

Cami top- New Look || White ripped boyfriend jeans- Topshop || Rose gold sandals- Topshop || Black vanity bag- Zara (similar here) || Rose gold chakra necklace- Daisy || Rose gold watch- Olivia Burton.

I'm just not constant enough with this whole blogging thing. I feel like I start every post with a sentence along the same lines 'oh iv'e been so busy' and 'it's been a while'. This is the busiest I have been in a long while, but in a good way. I have recently started an internship which I am now doing for part of the week, and the other half is spent doing my part time job. Although tiring, I am learning so much and I know in the long run it will all be worth it.

These pictures were taken by Tom (admittedly on the iPhone hence the bad quality) on the way to buy some dinner last thursday... yes over a week ago. I have worn this outfit quite a lot because it is so comfy and cream and white have been my favourite colours so far this summer. I spotted this little oriental cami while shooting through new look a few weeks ago in a quick bid to find some shorts for holiday. It wasn't successful and in the end I walked with this cami top, and another white boho one; cami tops and shorts can be easily confused!

Whats been your favourite casual go to look this summer?

Until next time
