Safari Sky-garden

After sleeping for a mere 10 hours over the weekend to get all my work done for deadline day on monday I was absolutely exhausted. My good friend Jessie whisked me off to the Sky Gardens just off of Fleet Street after handing in my work and despite being knackered I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The views were out of this world- you can see the whole city, the Shard and Gherkin and St Pauls included and despite being a cloudy rainy day it was incredible.

After having a mooch around the gardens, and taking plenty of blog photos, we headed back to the entrance area and sat and enjoyed a cocktail before heading off home for a well deserved nap. 

I decided to wear this safari-esque shirt from H&M conscious collection. Im sure you've already seen it as every blogger about town is wearing it; but whats not to love? This mustard belted beauty is definitely going to become a regular in my day to day wardrobe, matched with either blue denim jeans and boots or a wide leg flare. What do you think?

Spring at Somerset House || LFW-end

London Fashion Weekend- It was my first full weekend off work since November, and it worked perfectly. I had LFW-end with Jessie on the Saturday and was completely plan free for the rest of the weekend. I didn't know quite what to do with myself other than procrastinate. Instead of being sensible and getting loads of uni work out the way, I thought it the perfect excuse to sit in front of the TV eating Thai takeaway and watching Gone Girl with my flat mate and a ridiculous amount of dinner date.

Anyway, back to Somerset House. Jessie took me to a place called Spring just on the outside of Somerset House and I was memorised by the clean teal interior, the mini garden-like area they have on the side of the restaurant as well as the beautiful flowers in the toilets. Hands up, I did try to take the Aesop soap and hand cream- good job they bolted them in there so well that after three or four attempts and being caught red handed by about six customers I gave up and returned to my lemon and ginger tea waiting for me next to one of their beautiful pink sofas. Next time I promise to take more photos.

Sport luxe stripes

Im back. Its been over three months since my last style post and its been so good to have a break. Despite worrying about whether it would be a good idea or not I feel that 2015 is a chance for a fresh start. A lot has changed for me, hence the new blog name 'So Sara'. As for the outfit, it was shot a week or two back by a good friend of mine Jessie (check her blog out here) after we had enjoyed a lovely lunch at Dishoom in Shoreditch. 

Im loving giving tailoring a relaxed vibe so expect to see a more masculine influenced pieces given a relaxed edge in future outfit posts. Plus, just a heads up; the shoes are now on sale for only £17.50 on ASOS so go grab a pair, they go with everything and are so so so comfy.

Noisy May

This outfit is super pink and super minimal and I love it. I thought double pink might be too much but bahhh, you know me, nothing is every too much right?

Im not a super girly person, but last year when the 'it' coat was a pink one, I could not resist. I am so happy to have this fabulous long, fluffy, pink ASOS number back in my life and I so don't care if pink is the colour of '2013'.

I decided to team it with my new Noisy May pink jumper. Its so cosy; all fleecy inside and adds a minimal but girly twist to any outfit. As for the skirt, I treated myself a few months back to this faux leather pleated a-line midi one from ASOS (of course) . Its brilliant for all occasions. I wore it to mine and Tom's two year anniversary dinner with a metallic top back in October and its perfect to dress up or down. 

I hope you guys have had a wonderful weekend. I spent it with my Nan while my Aunt was away and we've had a ball. I have even learnt how to knit and it has been so lovely to chill and relax, get some uni work done and spend some time with her and my sister.

Very Berry

Every winter berry is the colour I get automatically drawn to. Despite black normally being a staple in the winter wardrobe, this year I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the mix of nudes, camels, creams and pastels filling the high street stores. It is refreshing and for once I don't feel super depressed every time I wake up in the morning and get dressed- I feel like I am allowed to wear colour!

Despite this I did pair these tailored trousers with a black long sleeved t shirt and my trusted leather look gilet. My white backpack has not made it onto an outfit post for a while and it was the perfect thing to draw the eye a little. Im trying to steer away from wearing trainers all the time despite it being super tempting as they are so comfy but my aim this season is to try and 'dress to impress' at all given opportunities... I'd be interested to know how you guys think I am getting on with that as the weeks go by and it gets colder and icier.

Going Geometric

Geometry was the only part of maths that I loved at school which is probably why I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it and within 2 hours I was back in store buying it. Its the perfect throw on thing when you can't be bothered. Its shape hides a multitude of sins, and the print is a combination of black (my all time favourite colour) and camel, the colour of the season.

I've been trying to steer away from prints as of late as I was struggling to match and make use of everything in my wardrobe but this dress is just so versatile. The simple nature of the print and shape mean I can look good and feel comfy and snug all at the same time and I already know that its going to get worn to death this winter. Next on the list is a pair of indigo flared jeans and Im thinking that they will partner perfectly with a pair of heeled boots and my new geometric addition. What a winning combo.
